Some days ago, the new integration of Python-2.6.3 was announced, but contained an internal bug.
Python 2.6.4 is a critical bug fix for Python 2.6.3, which had regressions in the logging package and in setuptools compatibility. Python 2.6.4 was released on 25-Oct-2009 and is stable enough to be the new candidate for the new Py4D version.

Python 2.6 is now in bugfix-only mode; no new features are being added. The NEWS file lists every change in each alpha, beta, and release candidate of Python 2.6.

The Python Software foundation is pleased to announce the release of Python 2.6.3, a bugfix release of Python 2.6.2. Python 2.6 is now in bugfix-only mode; no new features are being added. Somewhere near 100 bugs have been fixed since the release of Python 2.6.2. The NEWS file lists every change in each alpha, beta, and release candidate of Python 2.6. This version will be shipped with the next update of Py4D.

Congratulations to MAXON for their new update of CINEMA 4D. Comprehensive upgrade provides powerful image quality, rendering and workflow enhancements and offers updated version of popular motion graphics module – MoGraph 2 – jam-packed with new functionality to inspire breathtaking 3D animations.

Py4D works with CINEMA 4D R11.5 and there will be no API Changes. The update to run Py4D in CINEMA 4D R11.5 will be available in the next days.

A new version of Py4D was released. A lot of bugs were fixed and a lot of stuff was added. Its now possible to write Bitmap Im- /Exporter and own Modifier. Check out the Changelog and feel free to update your current version of Py4D via the Online Updater or just download the whole package (Get Py4D).

Due to an error of the internal memory management there is a new update of Py4D available which you can get via the Py4D Onlineupdater or as a complete package (see ‘Get Py4D’). In a few cases the NetRENDER of CINEMA 4D does not startup properly(v0.9.6500 and v0.9.7101). This update is recommended to all users. Py4D 0.9.7150 works stable and fine on all systems.

Today I release the biggest Py4D Update. With this version several new features find their way into this plugin. The Source Protector is such an addition. You can protect your plugins with the popular AES-128 encryption and share your plugins with other people. A lot of bugs are fixed and some new methods and classes were added. You just might read the ChangeLog and see whats new. If you have any suggestions or recommendations, feel free to write a comment.
If you use 0.9.6500 you can use the OnlineUpdater of Py4D. At first you have to update the Onlineupdater. After a restart of CINEMA 4D you have to open the updater again and download the new 0.9.7101 package (please close *all* files and applications, except CINEMA 4D). Otherwise you can just download the package on the right side. Open “Get-Py4D” and follow the instructions carefully.

To get a new version of the Onlineupdater open the updater of Py4D and select the entry. Click ‘Install’ to download version 1.6. This update contains some bugfixes on windows machines and is prepared for the next update of Py4D 0.9.7100. Recommended for OSX and Windows users. This update is just available for Py4D 0.9.6500.

A few days ago, Py4D had some problems with the internal license management of CINEMA 4D. So if the serial of a plugin expired once, the plugin will not work anymore (just with a small workaround). Some people were in luck by requesting a serial before Py4D expired. I am sorry for this – thanks for your patience…

I fixed the problem with the license management.So if you start Py4D again you need a new serial. The activation code is equal the first eleven digits of your CINEMA 4D serial. Just pass this activation code to the serial generator. By the way Py4D returns with a lot of bugfixes, changes and additions. I took the time to fix all crashs which were reported and Py4D seems to stable now. Several bugs with Thinking Particles, BaseBitmap, the Texteditor and internal memory management are fixed.
