Next round of public beta…

The next round of the public beta has been started and ends up on march 31th, 2010. If your version is going to expire, just click on Get Py4D and request a new serial so that your version will run again. Hope you enjoy it.

Python-2.6.4 is out!

Some days ago, the new integration of Python-2.6.3 was announced, but contained an internal bug.
Python 2.6.4 is a critical bug fix for Python 2.6.3, which had regressions in the logging package and in setuptools compatibility. Python 2.6.4 was released on 25-Oct-2009 and is stable enough to be the new candidate for the new Py4D version.

Python 2.6 is now in bugfix-only mode; no new features are being added. The NEWS file lists every change in each alpha, beta, and release candidate of Python 2.6.

Python-2.6.3 is out!

The Python Software foundation is pleased to announce the release of Python 2.6.3, a bugfix release of Python 2.6.2. Python 2.6 is now in bugfix-only mode; no new features are being added. Somewhere near 100 bugs have been fixed since the release of Python 2.6.2. The NEWS file lists every change in each alpha, beta, and release candidate of Python 2.6. The Python documentation has also been updated. You can browse the HTML on-line.

This version will be shipped with the next update of Py4D.

MAXON Usermeeting ‘09 is over

With over 100 CINEMA 4D Users in attendance, the next User Meeting was a resounding success. A lot of people dived into several workshops and get in touch with new modules. Also the presentations were very interesting and showed a lot of stuff which was made with the help of CINEMA 4D. MAXON made a blog about this event. The new online documentation has a new function. If you have any python-patterns, information or just a few code-lines which might be helpful for other people, don’t hesitate to post them in the documentation.

Py4D 0.9.9980 [RC]

The release candidate of Py4D is out now. A lot of bugs are fixed and several new plugin hooks are available. To see whats new, just read the ChangeLog. If Py4D is already on your system, its very important to delete the folder before you copy the new version to your plugins folder, otherwise CINEMA 4D might crash on startup. This update is not available via the Online Updater. The period for free serials is extended until October 30, 2009.

Meeting of maniacs

After 2005 and 2007 the User Meeting of MAXON takes place again in Cologne, Germany. For two days you can enjoy several presentations or Making-Ofs about CINEMA 4D. Congratulations to MAXON for their new update of CINEMA 4D. Comprehensive upgrade provides powerful image quality, rendering and workflow enhancements and offers updated version of popular motion graphics module – MoGraph 2 – jam-packed with new functionality to inspire breathtaking 3D animations.

Py4D works with CINEMA 4D R11.5 and there will be no API Changes. The update to run Py4D in CINEMA 4D R11.5 will be available in the next days.
